Hirers pay the school through Plass. Staffing is charged to the school economics when it is earned — before Lily, Tom or anyone else is actually paid. School settlement is automatic through Stripe Connect; staff net pay leaves through NatWest Bankline.

The amount is already net of staffing, agreement fees, school-funded processing, refunds, chargebacks and reserve. Only the final closed school settlement is transferred to the school.

NatWest Bankline Faster Payments export contains only finalised, signed, not-yet-exported staff rows. The file uses NatWest’s 85-field import layout. Imported Faster Payments do not automatically perform Confirmation of Payee, so verify new payees before authorising the batch.

Refunds are a judgement at the moment you issue them. Chargebacks are not — they always land on the school’s earnings and stay against the hirer until the dispute is won.

Demo environment
It rebuilds itself every morning.
The Demo database is disposable. The 15-minute Demo cron rebuilds the canonical Priya, Lily, Morgan and Ops story once a day at 04:00 Europe/London, then continues normal sandbox payment housekeeping. Production is a different database and is never part of the rebuild.
